Who you’ll be working with
YR Architecture + Design is led by Yvonne Riggie, an architect known for a calm, attentive presence and an ability to see projects from multiple perspectives. Growing up in West Virginia fostered an early respect for land and landscape—an attentiveness to place that continues to shape how she approaches each project today.
She brings people together around a shared vision, balancing the goals of clients, builders, and collaborators to reach the best possible outcome for each project. Her approach is grounded in careful listening, thoughtful questions, and guided conversations that help ideas take shape and decisions feel clear and well considered.
With an eye for enduring modern design, Yvonne’s work is shaped by authenticity, place, and the lives of the people who will inhabit the home. Clients often describe the process as steady and reassuring—complex, but guided with care, clarity, and confidence from start to finish.
Outside of work, Yvonne is often drawn to the same things that shape her architecture—time outdoors hiking new trails, making something by hand, and moments of stillness, like watching a summer thunderstorm from a screened porch.
